“Over the last 15 years with the help of my generous and supportive sponsors, The Classic contests has given over $1,000,000.00 in cash and awards to the my students who have attended a Sharon Camarillo Barrel Racing Horsemanship Program. As an added incentive to students who choose to pursue personal excellence, I co-sponsors a Court’s Sharon Camarillo Trophy Saddle for any of my students who go on to qualify for the National Finals Rodeo. “I call the program, ‘Look For The Star In You.” Sharon has presented 7 saddles to student/NFR qualifiers.
In recognition of her dedication to equestrian education, Sharon was given the title of Traveling Professor from Black Hawk College. Other awards in Sharon’s multifaceted career include the Top Hand Award from the Western and English Sales Association for her industry advocacy, and the Tad Lucas Award from the Cowboy Hall of Fame.
“Chin up, Eyes forward” is one of Sharon’s mottos. “It helps me stay focused and reminds people around me that today is a GREAT day to get something accomplished.”
